How to Purchase

The Complete Customer Process

Purchasing fully custom, handcrafted cabinetry for your home, business, development or project can be an overwhelming process if you have never done it before and are unsure of the proper steps to take. The amount of our return customers that we serve, should be a testament to ensure that not only is purchasing fully custom cabinetry worth it, but that WWS will make this process as simple as possible and will do all that we are able to help you along the way.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO PURCHASE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES FROM WATERWORTHS WOODSHOP INC.

Step 1.- Look online, in person, WWS online photo gallery (Waterworths Woodshop | Flickr ) to see what styles of products you like.

Step 2.- (Option A) - Contact WWS at (218) 523-3035, quotes@waterworthswoodshop.com, marcus@waterworthswoodshop.com or Contact Us — Waterworth's Woodshop (waterworthswoodshop.com) to set up a free, on-site, no obligation, consultation. Here we will go over your needs and wants as a customer, time frame, budget and more. We will also gather measurements to prepare a complete proposal for you which will contain a job proposal (pricing, material and style options, etc.) floor plans, 3D views and Elevations of the cabinetry.

Step 2. -(Option B)- If we are unable to make our schedules connect, the project is a very long distance away, or you have already completed the consultation with another firm and have plans drawn, but would like us to provide another quote/proposal for you. Contact WWS at (218) 523-3035, quotes@waterworthswoodshop.com, marcus@waterworthswoodshop.com or Contact Us — Waterworth's Woodshop (waterworthswoodshop.com) to send us your current plans so that we can provide you a proposal from WWS at no charge. WWS also provides a price match guarantee on all products of equal materials and quality, if a competitor’s (including big box stores) proposal is provided to us, and it fits within our standard lead times of 6-8 weeks.

Step3.- After you have had a chance to receive the job proposal back from us. Please study the plans and become familiar with the pricing, pricing options and the designs. We encourage you to look around our website learn about the cabinet materials and see what you would like to incorporate into your project and also spend some time going over the drawings and decide what you like and what you do not like and make notes and changes to the plans that we provided. During this process, you are always welcome to communicate with WWS for help, input and recommendations from what our cabinet specialists have seen, liked and disliked along with some of the pros and cons of different choices and options.

Step 4.- Schedule an appointment to meet at our showroom. Here we will go over the changes that you want to implement. We will show you the different door and drawer front styles, cabinet styles, hardware, moldings, cabinet interiors, counter-top materials, etc. in person. We will go over the layout of your project and discuss the changes that you wish to implement along with the pros and cons of layout options and changes.

Step 5.- Review the revised proposal that we send back. If it requires additional revisions, contact us with the additional revisions that are needed, and we will make them again and resubmit the proposal back to you until the revisions are complete. Once the plans look as you want them to look, and you have agreed to the styles and options on the proposal. If you would like to proceed, you can sign the cover page of the job proposal and send it back to WWS. This is typically the time to make a down payment on your project as well. Some builders, commercial contractors and developers may have special terms that vary, but our standard terms for down payment is 40% of the cabinetry and countertops (installation and delivery not included).

Step 6.- Mosaic drawings (shop drawings) are now being processed. Up to this point, we have only created plans for design only as they are easier for our typical customers to follow, and the simplicity of the design prints offers much faster turnaround times for our customers to accommodate the need to allow for revisions etc. Once you receive your Mosaic prints (shop drawings) please look them over in detail. These plans will be much more detailed and may be harder to follow for those who are unfamiliar with following blueprints or mfg. plans. It is important that you know, WWS assumes the responsibility of measurements being correct, but it is up to the customer to make sure that the styles, colors, options, etc. that are listed on the Mosaic drawings are as you wanted as they supersede any previous discussion. We do our best to ensure we get you the products you want, but there is a lot of pieces to this puzzle and this is the last opportunity to catch any miscommunication that has occurred you and WWS. Once you have confirmed the layout is as you would like and the specs noted are as you wish, please sign the Mosaic drawings cover pages and submit this back to WWS.

Step 7. Your project is now in production. Standard lead times are around 6-8 weeks. If we have any questions that we need direction on, we will contact you to discuss. Otherwise, we will be in contact with you around 1 or 2 weeks before delivery.

Step 8.- We will reach out to you to coordinate an install, delivery or pickup date that works with your schedule.

Step 9.- If installed by WWS, Our crew will show up on site and unload cabinetry. Cabinets will be unloaded and site will be prepped. Time of installation will vary depending on the job. WWS does not do any plumbing or electrical work. Once all cabinetry and countertops are installed, our lead installer will give the job a thorough inspection to ensure that it is up to the standards of WWS. We will then send an invoice in the mail and/or via email, you are given 30 days to pay the remaining balance before interest is charged on the balance remaining. If there is anything that you deam unsatisfactory or something that you think needs to be addressed, WWS will gladly inspect this issue(s) under our warranty Warranty Information — Waterworth's Woodshop (waterworthswoodshop.com). We will not honor any warranty on your products etc. until your invoice has been paid in full.

Step 10.- Enjoy your WWS products and/or services and keep us in mind for anything that you have in mind for the future!

Customer Notes about the process:

-Please allow around 1 week to receive the proposal or revisions after meeting. If you do not receive it by then, please check your spam folder and then reach out to us, so we can resend or get the proper contact information from you.

-Please do your best to group your revisions together. We welcome revisions and want you to get the project that you are in search of. What we want is to limit the number of revisions to as few as possible in order to avoid confusion etc. down the road when it comes to finalizing the plans. For example, if you have 10 things you want to change from the initial design, please spend some time and make all 10 changes (if possible) on the same plan, so we can implement all of those revisions in the next proposal as opposed to every time you realize you want a change made, sending it over to us as an individual change 10 separate times which will lead to 10 revised proposals. Those extra proposals lead us to more opportunities to work from the incorrect plans, to think something that was unwanted was important and many more potential risks to a less than ideal situation.
